How exactly does the Cosmelean work on the function of the skin?
Cosmelan works by regulating the melanin activity, causing the overactive pigment producing cells to slow down their over-production and function in a more streamlined way. Due, to the low acid profile of the ingredients it works well on all skin types – Black/African, Asian, Caucasian, Mediterranean and Latin skin.
Melanin, the natural pigment that determines skin, eye and hair color, is usually evenly distributed. But when factors such as sun exposure, heat, hormones or skin injury disturb the melanin cells, the color distribution becomes haywire, resulting in mismatched skin, brown patches and spots.

1.The First Step in your Cosmelan treatment is the application of the chemical peel —>Cosmelan I. The peel contains more potent ingriedients then Cosmelean 2 (Homecare cream)— Stimulating epidermal turnover.. The Cosmelan Mask is left on your skin for 5 to 10 hours depending on your skin type and sensitivity level. Be prepared to look like you’re wearing a halloween mask. Take this time to stay indoors and be out of the publics eye (unless you don’t mind the gawking stares)
2.The Second Step lies directly in your hands: You’'ll be sent home with Cosmelan II which is a depigmenting cream to be used on a ongoing basis. . This special pigment control cream contains ingredients such as Kojic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid and a protective agent, Titanium Dioxide.
3. The Third step is following homecare instructions and admiring your glowing skin which will be revealed in as little as 5 days. Stay consistent and watch your skin transform over the span of 3 months.
4. The most important step is to check back in with your provider around the 3 month mark to help sustain results with a new homecare regimen that’ll put you in the maintenance phase of your skincare process.
